Arrests made after attempted theft of a motorbike in Worksop

On Tuesday, 28th May 2024 while on mobile patrol, the Worksop North Neighbourhood Team observed suspicious activity involving three men on Gateford Road, Worksop.

Two men were seen riding a moped that was unsuitable for the road, while another man was seen pushing a large motorbike.

Spotting the police van, the individuals abandoned the motorbike and fled.

With the help of our Response colleagues, two 14-year-olds were quickly apprehended and arrested on suspicion of the attempted theft of a motorbike. 🚔

Whilst officers were waiting with the large motorbike which had been abandoned the rightful owner arrived at the scene and confirmed that it had just been stolen.

During the subsequent searches, we also seized another motorbike which had recently been seen by officers riding illegally around Worksop.

The investigation is ongoing.
