On the evening of Friday, 14th March 2025, officers from the Worksop North Neighbourhood Policing Team attended Main Street Styrrup to conduct speed checks.
As a result of information from our community speed watch volunteers, we’ve identified a trend of motorists speeding along this stretch of road, where the speed limit is 30mph.
We are pleased to report that only one driver needed to be spoken to about excess speed. The majority of drivers were adhering to the 30mph speed limit.

Road safety is a priority, and excess speed is a significant contributor to road accidents and fatalities. In the coming weeks, we will continue to monitor this section of road closely to ensure the safety of all road users.
While in the area, the team also attended Harworth, where a driver of a Fiat Punto failed to stop for officers. The vehicle was located a short time later and seized.
Additionally, the team attended an address in Harworth and located a male who was wanted on recall to prison.
