Police officers intercepted and seized a vehicle suspected to be involved in illegal poaching as a crackdown on cross-border rural crime continues.

Lamps found inside the Subaru Forester were also seized after it was stopped by members of our Worksop South beat team on Sunday night (29 October 2023) in Old London Road, Morton.

A Lurcher dog was also found in the vehicle.

Inquiries remain ongoing following the stop.

Inspector Hayley Crawford, District Commander for Bassetlaw, said: “We treat rural and wildlife crime very seriously and we will continue to make every effort to target offenders operating in our area, prevent and reduce these types of crimes, and keep rural communities safe.”
