Stolen motorbike recovered in Manton

On Tuesday 5th March 2024, Officers from Worksop South Neighbourhood Policing Team were made aware of a report of a stolen motorbike from the Derbyshire area that had been stolen in the early hours of the morning. The motorbike had been tracking to the garden of a property in the Manton area. Officers attended and met with the owner of the bike and the bike was recovered from the garden.

Officers also located three quad bikes, one of which was suspected to have been used in the theft of the motorbike. These quad bikes were subsequently seized for either being used in crime or suspected stolen. The occupant of the address could not account for the ownership of the quads that were in the rear of their garden.

PC 287 WALKER of Nottinghamshire Police said:

‘Local officers are aware of the impact vehicle thefts have on members of our community, the impact it has on their daily life and their ability to work. We are also aware of the use of quad bikes in cross border and acquisitive crimes and will take positive action with the reports made by members of the public
