Thefts across Bassetlaw…

On Wednesday 4th October 2023, Officers from Worksop South Neighbourhood Policing Team arrested a male suspected of committing multiple shop thefts across Worksop, Retford and Carlton In Lindrick.

Lee HAMPTON of No Fixed Abode was arrested for 10 shop thefts across Bassetlaw. At court, HAMPTON was sentenced to a total of 10 months custodial period.

A representative of Worksop South NPT has stated the following:

“HAMPTON is a prolific shop lifter who has targeted multiple different stores across Worksop, Retford and Carlton In Lindrick and is responsible for over £1000 worth of loss of goods to the stores over the course of this shoplifting spree . We are happy that the court has sentenced HAMPTON to the period of imprisonment and hope he gets the support he needs to prevent this behaviour once this time is served”.
