Arrests made in Shireoaks

Two knives and a sword were safely recovered and three men were arrested after our officers attended separate incidents during the national Operation Sceptre knife crime week of action.

Officers arrested two suspects, aged 49 and 23, after they were despatched to reports of a fight in the street in Far Clay Grove, Shireoaks, on Thursday morning (16 May 2024). A knife and a sword were seized following searches.

Our officers also quickly responded after calls from members of the public about a man carrying a knife in Bolham Lane, Retford, on Tuesday afternoon (14 May). Searches were carried out and the 30-year-old man was swiftly found, after dropping the knife, and was safely detained.

Our work is ongoing all year-round to stop people carrying knives, remove weapons from our streets, and to keep people safe.
