  Three people were arrested after police discovered two cannabis grows in Worksop. Officers were first called to an address in Water Meadows at around 4pm on Monday (16 October) after concerns were raised about the property. Inside they discovered a large grow, with around 100 plants spread across multiple rooms. Two men, aged 38 and 36, were arrested on suspicion of cannabis cultivation. Two 11-year-old boys have been interviewed by police about an arson attack at a play park which resulted in around £50,000 worth of damage. Police were alerted to the blaze, in Rainbow Park, Shrewsbury Road, Manton, at around 4pm on Friday 29 September. On Wednesday 4th October 2023, Officers from Worksop South Neighbourhood Policing Team arrested a male suspected of committing multiple shop thefts across Worksop, Retford and Carlton In Lindrick. Lee HAMPTON of No Fixed Abode was arrested for 10 shop thefts across Bassetlaw. A violent offender who left a man with serious eye injuries after throwing a chemical into his face has been jailed. Craig Rose shouted ‘acid’ after launching the unprovoked attack outside a pub in Worksop town centre at around 3.20am on 12 February 2023.   The victim will never regain full sight in his right eye after the unknown corrosive substance severely damaged the cornea.
