Today Monday 24/06/2024 Worksop North Neighbourhood Policing team seized two off road motor bikes from a property in the Gateford Road area of Worksop. Following community intelligence, we identified these motorcycles as being ridden in an anti-social manner, posing a danger to themselves and other road users. A 16-year-old boy has died after being injured by a falling tree. Our officers were called to Rotherham Baulk, Carlton-in-Lindrick, at 11.21am on Saturday (15 June 2024) following reports the boy had been seriously hurt. Police and paramedics attended the incident, however the boy was sadly pronounced dead at the scene. Two men, aged 28 and 31, have been arrested on suspicion of manslaughter. Arrests made after attempted theft of a motorbike in Worksop On Tuesday, 28th May 2024 while on mobile patrol, the Worksop North Neighbourhood Team observed suspicious activity involving three men on Gateford Road, Worksop. A shop thief has been arrested by officers

A shop thief has been arrested by officers after he was suspected of stealing over £30 worth of steak from Sainsbury's in the Prospect Precinct whilst also in possession of a knife. The suspect, a man aged 36 dropped the knife when making his escape and was also found to have a a quantity of cannabis in his living room on arrest.

A burglar has been jailed after he was linked by his distinctive sideburns to the scenes of his crimes. Dean Whyte, aged 52, attempted to cover his face with a scarf as he approached two properties in Worksop in September last year.
